Becoming a chartered scientist

A number of scientific professional bodies are now offering chartered status for scientists who can demonstrate on-going professional development.

Dr Sharon Ann Holgate, a science writer and broadcaster, recently wrote about becoming a chartered scientist in the Science Career Magazine.

Dr Holgate, produced several video interviews with BHD researchers, and mentions her work for the Myrovlytis Trust/ BHD Foundation in her article. Her interviews with Professor Eamonn Maher, Dr Andrew Tee, Dr Richard Harbottle and Dr Ferenc Mueller, which can be found on our website here.
