BHD Literature Database Updated

The literature data base has been updated with three papers:

Felton and Madan present a case of Birt-Hogg-Dubé as the JAMA Clinical Challenge in the 26th December, 2012 issue. This text is available to download from the BHD Articles Library: Clinical section.

Claessens et al. review the role of FLCN in cilia function, membrane trafficking, and several signalling pathways. They then discuss the pathogenesis and treatment of the cutaneous manifestations of Birt-Hogg-Dubé and raise the possibility that fibrofolliculomas arise from the sebaceous glands rather than hair follicles.

Schmidt and Zbar have written a review chapter on Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome for the Online Metabolic and Molecular Bases of Inherited Disease website.
