BHD Literature Database Updated

The literature data base has been updated with one paper:

Pimenta et al. describe the case of a female 44 year old non-smoker who presented in clinic with a spontaneous pneumothorax in 2005. At this time, the patient was diagnosed with LAM and treated with doxycycline. The patient showed improved pulmonary function and reported an improvement in exercise tolerance. The patient was subsequently diagnosed with BHD syndrome in 2007. Doxycycline treatment was halted when the patient developed symptoms of gastric intolerance, after which time her lung volume and expiratory flow rates were seen to worsen. Thus the authors suggest that doxycycline may be an effective treatment for BHD syndrome.
