Two new papers have been added to the BHD Literature Database. Cash et al contribute to our understanding of the function of folliculin. The authors identified a novel tumour suppressor mechanism for the BHD gene product, that of regulating TGFβ-dependent transcription and apoptosis. On the clinical side of BHD research, Agarwal et al analyzed the thoracic CT scan of 17 BHD patients to characterize any lung cysts, in order to facilitate differentiation between BHD and other cystic lung diseases.
