The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) aims to catalyse the development and implementation of new interventions for all human diseases. NCATS does this by investing in the research of methods and technologies that will generate new diagnostics and therapies and have a number of funding schemes that may be of interest to BHD researchers, which can be found here.
In particular, their Therapeutics for Rare and Neglected Diseases (TRND) Program funds drug discovery and development research collaborations between academic, non-profit organisations and industry. Although this program is not currently accepting applications, there will be a funding call later this year and they are particularly interested in applications for projects on rare diseases.
If you would be interested in applying to NCATS for funding, you can subscribe to the NCATS funding announcement service here.
