Researchers at the NIH in the United States are currently recruiting for a clinical trial to treat painful skin leiomyomas with Botulinum Toxin A (commonly known under the trade name Botox). Leiomyomas can be symptoms of another hereditary kidney cancer syndrome, related to BHD, called Hereditary Leiomyomatosis Renal Cell Carcinoma (HLRCC).
