New review of cystic lung disease CT findings

High Resolution CT scans can enable differential diagnosis of various pulmonary diseases. A new review from Francisco et al. (2015) covers such findings in multiple cystic lung diseases including BHD, LAM and PLCH. The characteristic cyst patterns in these diseases may help reduce the need for surgical lung biopsies and provide diagnostic clues leading to early diagnosis. This review is one of several comprehensive reviews on this topic published recently and will hopefully increase awareness, amongst pulmonologists and radiologists, of these rare cystic lung diseases.
