The BHD Literature Database has been updated with two new radiological studies.
Linguraru et al. used a computer-aided clinical tool to analyse CT examinations of renal lesions. The authors studied the shape of renal lesions from 43 patients diagnosed with either BHD (16 individuals), Von Hippel-Lindau disease (22), hereditary papillary renal carcinoma (19) or hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (21). The authors reported that this analysis allowed for accurate classification and quantification of renal tumours and could provide an additional measure to monitor these tumours.
Ley-Zaporozhan discussed the conditions which lead to decreased lung density as detectable in thin-slice CT study. The author included a review of cystic lung diseases, such as lymphangioleiomyomatosis and BHD. This article is in German, while the abstract is also available in English.
