The BHD Literature Database has been updated with a case report by Tobino and Seyama, of a woman who presented with pulmonary cysts, pneumothorax and a renal tumour. A renal angiomyolipoma was also identified on CT test. A LAM diagnosis was considered, however the patient was found to carry a mutation in FLCN.
The authors commented that family history and characterisation of pulmonary cysts can help to differentiate the two cystic lung disorders.
