Cancer Research UK are putting together a new “Be Clear on Cancer” campaign to raise awareness of the importance of getting a swift diagnosis after symptoms first appear, and that there is life after treatment. As part of the campaign, they are looking for four people who have survived a rare cancer, such as those associated with Birt-Hogg-Dubé.
The selection criteria are as follows:
-
Must have been diagnosed and treated in the UK
-
Over 50 years of age when diagnosed
-
First went to GP because of one of the following: pain, blood, lump or weight loss
-
Need to be post-treatment and happy to talk about their life now
-
Happy for name, age and photo to be used as part of the campaign
The campaign is being put together in December, so if you fulfil all of the above criteria and are interested in taking part please let us know as soon as possible, preferably by the end of the week (Friday 9th November), by sending an email to contact@BHDSyndrome.org. If you have any questions about this, feel free to get in touch via the same email address. As there are only four spots for this campaign, we can’t promise that any one we put forward will be selected, but it would be a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about BHD, so we still encourage you to get in touch and we will pass the information of all those interested to CRUK.
I like the valuable info you supply for your articles. I’ll bookmark your weblog and test again here regularly. I am relatively certain I will be informed a lot of new stuff proper right here! Best of luck for the next!
